The grid layout uses uniform square cells so that all thumbnails are the same size regardless of the source image’s aspect ratio.

Minimal gallery with no metadata and no download button
Use shortcode arguments to strip the gallery down for situations where you want clean presentation without any extra UI stuff. show-exif=false hides camera data, show-download=false removes the download button from the lightbox toolbar, and transition="none" disables the open/close animation:
